First of all I feel the food is much tastier than other fast food restaurants. This is the first time I have ever visited a Culvers. I had the butterburger cheeseburger and side salad. The burger had a nicely chared taste and was juicy. The side salad was better than expected with shredded cheese, cucumber slice, cherry tomato and croutons. There were many options available including a couple of healthy selections. The wait time was acceptable since it was crowded. I would eat here again.

Very friendly staff and place was clean and served those "Butter Burgers!" Yum! The fries were great as well and the highlight was the Custard. WOW! Price was reasonable and the Manager made the rounds, even with the place being busy, asking if everything was okay and how was the food. Now that is service! Would go back if in the area againand recommend to any Yelper.

Surprisingly good fast food restaurant. They had a nice variety of food, all the usual stuff you would expect at a hamburger restaurant. I had the Colby Jack Pub Burger which had a nice fluffy bun and not the kind that McDonalds serve which have employees sitting on the bun before they serve it to you. I also had the cheese curds which was a nice change up from getting fries like I normally would. They cooked after you order it and they deliver it to your table which is nice. Their coffee was quite good as well here. This location has a pretty big restaurant. It was clean and so were the restrooms. The employees were really nice, they even offered me to get a refill before we left. I'm not a big fan of fast food but I will definitely consider Culver's again

Family owned, freshly cooked fast food chain. Personally not a big fan of the whole fast food deal, but my dad raved about the frozen custard. I think the butter burgers are supposed to be pretty good and they have green beans you can order? Quite frankly I didn't know that fast food chains had options like that. The service was great and quick and I really the overall experience, as far as fast food chains go. not a bad place to stop on your way home or on a long ride, certainly better than other options out there.

Fantastic service, went above and beyond for our group when we stopped in. Highly recommend!

I have came here before and the staff are really friendly. The stuff is so MUCH BETTER than the slop burgers at McDonald's! They maybe overpriced, but they have to charge more because the food is better quality. Their custards are amazing as well, they always taste good and the good thing about is that you get to chose the toppings you want on you're custard. Also, the Mashed Potatoes are really good, too. I won't eat the French fries because they taste really funny and weird. I've also met the owner, plus the manager and they are BOTH nice, friendly, and helpful.

AWESOME customer service! When they forgot my son's green beans, the manager came to our table and offered free sundaes for ALL OF US!

One of the best Culver butter burgers I've had! One the best things about traveling in the Midwest is having a Culver's somewhere down the road. Their burgers are always made fresh, and their lemon ice coolers help shed a few degrees off your body temperature on the hottest days. I was hungry today, and ordered a double mushroom and Swiss burger, this had to be the first time I had cheese on each patty and not only did it look good, it tasted incredible, Maybe I was still smarting from the Applebee's from the night before, but the service was top notch. This would have been a five star review, (Really, this is only a half star complaint) Because their advertised WiFi was extremely weak, and when you could connect to it, it was slower than pouring a concrete mixer. I was able to connect to the hotel across the parking lot with a faster connection. Also, the music was rather loud, louder than most other Culver's I've visited around the U.S. Don't let these minor quibbles deter you from visiting, I'm happy I stopped here!

A Culver's is a Culver's. But for this one, I ordered a double butter burger with cheese and ketchup and got a single burger, no cheese or ketchup. I discovered this once I got to my hotel. So, that's about all I can base my review on for this location.

Made a quick stop here on a road trip. I ordered a chicken cashew salad & short strawberry shake. Both were good, and they didn't mess up my order. Can't complain!

Came in for a burger, only noticed as I was paying that the burger had cheese on it and asked for no cheese. Cameron, our server, said he can't help because he has already tendered it. We were so shocked at his total lack of effort. All that needed to be done was to turn around and ask the cooks not to put cheese on the burger. I asked again and he said he can't help. I went back and asked another server. She was more than helpful, and got everything sorted out. Unfortunately I didn't get her name. Food was good but Cameron was useless.

Culver's is a Midwest chain that features frozen custard, butter burgers, and other artery clogging choices in the finest Wisconsin tradition. See the attached link for an explanation about butter burgers: roadfood.com/Recipes/Rec… There was a Culver's right across the street from my hotel and I jumped at the opportunity for a good frozen custard sundae (turtle). The best combination of custard and burger that I have had previously was Leon's and Mazos in Milwaukee. Culvers was a fine local substitute, plus the interior dining area invites you to relax and stay awhile. Now if I was only in town long enough for a Friday Night Fish Fry.......

This review is strictly on the frozen custard. I think it is the best around. I've had the butter burger and it is very good too. This placed was really empty when we drove up. We thought it was closed so we went to McDonald bathroom. I called Culver's and they were open so we went back. I could eat that custard everyday.

So after MUCH demand from my family telling me that Culvers is the best and that they have this thing called a butter burger I gave in when I was back home this past weekend. I was very surprised to find that it is a fastfood/dining room style of eating. Kinda like Pondarosa. They take your order and they they give you a number then when it is ready they bring the food to you. I ordered a double butterburger with everything. I got the meal which came with a drink and crinkle cut fries. (but they give you tons of options such as cheese curds if you don't want fries.) I got a root beer to drink it was a brand I had never had before and it was darn delise. The food came to us within 5 minutes. Even though the place was almost packed. Burger was just as good as in-n-out burger. fries where crispy and hot so very good, not over salted. For dessert they have frozen custard. It was SO good. I got the turtle sundae small and it was still large enough. The dessert menu is so big it was hard to decide. I just wish I had a culvers out here. Oh and best part $6.50 for my meal before the dessert. How can you beat that price for fresh made burgers?

Love Culver's and the food is consistant here. However, typical of Michigan City fast food CHECK YOUR ORDER. I don't know what it is about my fair little city that makes good help so hard to find. There is almost always something missing. I will say the managers always make up for it the next time I am there.

We stopped here when we were on the road to Michigan. Culver's food is pretty good and I feel like it's better quality than McDonald's or any other fast food joint. Our food was hot and cooked perfectly.

Haha. Uh... so... here's the thing. As we were leaving steak and shake, we passed this place called Culver's. "What the hell is Culver's?" We look it up on Yelp and apparently they have this thing called the ButterBurger that people rave about. This road trip has been complete gluttony, and while we were full from our Frisco Melt's at Steak & Shake, we decided what the hell, why not, let's get our fat on. "2 Double Cheddar ButterBurgers, L, T, O, Mayo, Ketchup to go please" The burger is good, but nothing really special. Definitely not the same league as In-n-Out or Five Guys, but better than McD's or the other major chains for sure. We took 4 bites and threw them out, not because they were bad, but because we were so full. Oh yea, that happened.

Ok...so I rarely eat fast food, but for some reason.....Culver's is almost irresistible! This has become almost a traditional stop on our way to or from visiting The Dunes! The fatty and tasty butter burgers, deep fried cod, crinkle fries and ice cream are the cure to the common sunburn! We have only been here on weekends and it is always busy. However, we never wait long for our food (plus you know its fresh!) The place is well maintained and the staff is friendly. No complaints here! Well....except the extra calories that I will need to work off tomorrow!!!

Yeah that's right, I gave Culver's 5 stars. Thank God I did not discover Culver's until my late 20's. Or else I would be 20 lbs. heavier. I thought it was urban legend, these butter burgers and frozen custard... Instead of value meals they have baskets...and they bring them to you! That's right, you don't even have to carry your own food, on a tray, to your seat. Someone brings it out to you!!! My favorite fast food by far. McDonald's is about the same price and totally sucks compared to Culver's. Even Wendy's blows in comparison. While I ate, I looked over a list of places they have locations. They had like a dozen employees working and they were all...working. Cleaning, bringing out food, etc. It was like this Culver's hired the local high school cream of the crop to run this place. I even filled out a comment card, I was that excited. I love Culver's. Please, someone open one in Chicago. I beg you. See you at Yelp Gets Fit on Saturday. :-[

The best bang for your buck! This is a fast food chain and the burgers are real real real. My husband and I love the double cheeseburgers but wish they didn't get rid of the jumbo burger. We love the huge variety and many options with a basket (combo meal). Also, the cod is delicious and comes as a meal or sandwich. You can't beat the prices for real food that's fast. The only problem I've had is asking for the mayo on the side. 9 times out of 10 it's forgotten.

Ok, I love me some Culver's. It's a tasty treat that I get to have 2 or 3 times a year. Maybe it was the drive-thru, maybe it was normal, but seriously: no napkins and no ketchup?? We would've been sitting down in the restaurant if my 3yo cutie hadn't fallen asleep on the way there, but she must have been tired from frolicking on the beach like the litle maniac that she is; and like every parent of young children, I walk around with a ginormous supply of wipes, but c'mon Culver's - I don't think one should have to request napkins or ketchup.
